Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. Also, she was co-starring with Prince in his 1984 film, Purple Rain. Her most well-known role was co-starring in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the singer in the group of girls Apollonia 6. The actress and singer was named Apollonia by Prince was one of the many female musicians in the '80s who benefited from her relationship with the Purple One. The actress was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her work began as a model actress by the end of the '70s with a role in the television series CHiPS. Kotero was the female lead for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at when he was changing her name). In the same year, she took over Vanity as a member of the group Vanity 6 and performed with their title Apollonia 6 in the film. Sex Shooter, a song from the soundtrack had a small success for the trio, but when she was Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You she had more success.
