Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She received with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father is an theater professor at one of Romania's top drama schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut film, she is famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's 4 luni3 two days (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) which was awarded three weeks, four months and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she appeared as the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared in the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. The actress later played a significant performance in the 2014 film Fury in which she portrayed a German woman known as Irma the aunt of Emma.
